My father's war memoirs

My father, Robert Harding (who died on 11 February 2010, aged 91 years) was a World War II pilot in the Royal Air Force and later a prisoner of war in North Africa, Italy and Germany.

His book Copper Wire is an amazing story of survival against the odds. You can read extracts from the book here but it is no longer on sale.

The author's son (Chess Mail editor Tim Harding) is now literary executor but cannot answer enquiries about the book for the time being. It is possible that in future a new edition will be produced including previously unpublished material.

More information about the book can be found on this site.
