Vol 7 No 6 (May 1881): no article.

Vol 7 No 7 (June 1881): Visit of Steinitz to Dublin earlier in the year, with Monck's game against him, which is included in our PGN file of Monck's games. (The game score is misprinted: Black's 14th move was ...Qb6 and he met 15 f5 by 15...f6.) Also a game by Monck against an unnamed opponent. From pages 77-78. Download.

Vol 7 No 8 (Oct. 1881): Games from Dublin by B. W. Fisher against Roberts (J. D., probably) and against Cairns. Page 87. Download.

Vol 8 No 1 (Nov. 1881): Two consultation games from Dublin. Captain Melhado & Monck consulting, against Pim & Dr. Stack, and against Pim & Mr Roberts senior (this was either J. D.'s elder brother, W. R. Roberts, or their father, Michael Roberts, fellow of Trinity College Dublin). From pages-4-5 (combined as one image). Download.

Vol 8 No 2 (Dec. 1881): Consultation game Pim & M. R. Roberts v. Melhado & Monck. Page 17. Download.

After 1881 the school magazine appears to have been published less frequently and only a few more chess articles have been found.

Vol 8 No 3 (May 1882): Correspondence games Shenele v Monck & Gossip v Monck. Page 81. Download.

Vol 8 No 4: no article.

Vol 8 No 5 (Nov 1882): Dublin v Cork correspondence match game. Page 57. Download.

Vol 8 No 6 (March 1883): The article refers to the announcement of the death of Paul Morphy, which was erroneously reported in some journals, including the Illustrated London News of 2 Dec. 1882. In fact Morphy lived until 1884. Consultation game from 1858, Staunton & Owen v Morphy & Barnes. Page 67. Download.

Vol 8 No 7 (June 1883): no article.

Vol 8 No 8 (March 1884): Second game in the Cork v Dublin correspondence match. (The long delay in publishing this suggests Monck had written the article much earlier, and this was probaby the last he wrote.) Page 90. Download.

There are no articles in later magazines of 1884 & 1885.
