In mid-January we released UltraCorr2025, which has over 2,680,000 games including many with annotations.
Sales of UltraCorr are currently suspended because some major family events means that we cannot provide any support for it or issue passwords to new customers for the foreseeable future.
We are leaving the download links available in case anyone who has already bought the product needs to download it again.
In the summer we may be able to resume with a version 2 which would be free to those who already paid this year, but at the present time we cannot know if that will be possible.
This is the page to download it in the older (CBH) format. If you do have ChessBase17 or ChessBase18 and prefer to download in the new format, you should instead go to our 2CBH download page.
You only need to download one file, an encrypted ChessBase archive file called UltraCorr2025.cbz (approx size 281 MB).
WARNING: We strongly recommend that you use either Google Chrome or the Firefox browser to download our database because Microsoft Edge sometimes tries to change the filename.
After downloading, we recommend you immediately move the CBZ file to your chosen destination on your computer hard drive before using the password to unzip it.
For some reason we don't understand (maybe a ChessBase bug or incompatibility with some browsers) it usually seems necessary to left-click the Download link with the CBH version but right-click with the new format.
Download the older format (CBH) version of UltraCorr2025 now!
After downloading and entering the password (see below) the CBZ file will expand to a CBH format database consisting of 18 files totalling about 824MB on your computer.
It is highly advisable to create a new folder which will hold only the expanded UltraCorr2025 database. Do not try to open the file in Windows, but only in ChessBase after you have made a backup.
The downloaded CBZ file is like an ordinary CBV backup archive except that it is password protected. The passwords for both download files are different strings of alphanumeric characters.
The database will not open without the password(s) which we shall email to you after we receive PayPal's notification of your payment.
The password will normally be sent to you within an hour or two, unless we are asleep or out of the house, in which case there could be a delay of few hours.
The downloaded file can be copied to where you need it. It will not open within ChessBase until you pay and receive the password from us. The CBZ file contains all the separate files of the database and within a couple of minutes of entering the password you will have a functioning UltraCorr-2025 database in the older CBH format.
After expanding the database you will be able, should you wish, to convert it to PGN or other proprietary formats but we will not do this for you. A PGN version would require much more space on your hard drive.
You can download first and pay later, or first send us your payment via PayPal. Payment through PayPal is completely secure and we do not collect any financial or personal information other than your name and email address which we require to send you the password.
We cannot emphasise too much that once you have downloaded the 2CBZ file, you should save it in a separate folder from the working folder. Every year we get requests to resupply the file and we cannot guarantee to be available to do this.
Large databases like this can easily get corrupted and you should make regular backups if you add your own games or edit the database.
We also strongly recommend keeping a copy of the database on a backup resource, such as a portable hard drive USB, in case you have any problems later.
